I just installed Skype, and I think I like it.

The sound quality is good but I have to raise the volume control way up to hear it. The volume I need to have a normal conversation is too loud to play normal music with. I'm not certain if it's the mikes that I'm testing with or some other reason.

[Update: I downloaded Audacity, and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my mike or playback. I can record & play sounds at normal volume, but through Spyke I need to raise the volume of the speaker quite high in order to hear anything. I've tried it with three computers and two mikes now, and I'm really wonderring what the problem is. I looked at the help at Skype's site, but I can't find anything relevant.]
