Inside RavenDB 4.0 book is Done, Done
And now the book is another tiny big step close to actually being completed. All editing has been completed, and we did a full pass through the book. All content is written and there isn’t much to do at all.
We are now sending this for production work, and once that is done, I can announce this project complete. Of course, by that time, I’ll have to start writing about the new features in RavenDB 4.1, but that is a story for another day.
You can get the updated bits here, as usual, I would really appreciate any feedback.

I like the book a lot, it is mostly easy to read. I did miss a few things though: 1. A chapter about clients in other languages. 2. A chapter about common problems, e.g. set up, modelling problems etc. 3. A "why use ravendb and not sql, mongodb etc." chapter 4. Maybe I missed it, but you could link to your google forum and this blog. 5. When I google Ravendb, I find a lot of older critical posts, maybe directly address those posts?
Christian,
1) Once this is done done done ( :-) ) we can go over this and update the code samples to other languages. There is already some Python code in there. 2) Modeling has its own chapter.
Why RavenDB vs... XYZ or modeling issues beyond what is discussed is something that I don't think fits well in the book and need to be handled elsewhere, like this blog
Hi Ayende,
to 1) That would be awesome.
2) I thought more about a "war stories about ravendb. How we did model this complex scenario?".
While the book is not "done, done, done - done for real this time", I also would suggest adding the version number to the download ;-) So it'll be easier to keep track if there's a new version for me - lol :)
