I've been following Rob Connery's blog and his posts on NoSQL. What distinguishes Raven DB and the other NoSQL databases out there like MongoDB or CouchDB? Both of these offerings are OSS. What's the license for Raven? Pricing? Or do we just have to wait through April???
@Alex Simkin thanks for that, will download it and give it a go tonight. Do I need to build it against .net 3.5 or 4?
@MattMc3 I think the main difference is that RavenDB is a completely .net bases system
It looks like you're going to have a lot of stiff competition against the leading opensource NoSql databases with a lot of momentum namely: Redis, CouchDB and MongoDB.
Your integrated search index and native query syntax seems like your most competitive advantages at this stage.
